Look out world, here comes Jakey Pietz! He has had one of the all time great U17 National Championships, representing Vic Metro!

Jakey led the champs in wickets along with captaining the Vic Metro side and now, national underage selectors will have a tough time forgetting how good our man is!

HEAD DOWN TO THE AUBURN HOTEL THIS AUS OPEN AND SUPERBOWL MONDAY

Welcome to Jack's Q&A Corner brought to you by Melbourne City Toyota! This week I sat down with a new player to the club this year but someone who has fit in seamlessly, Dave is allergic to pronouncing his name right, he loves his food and a shred too, that's right, it's Andrew Procopiou!

1. Tell us a bit about the Christmas gyro set up and how good was it?

Proc: Mate I don’t need to tell you how good it was all I need is for you to imagine nearly 20 kg of juicy shaved chicken, pork and lamb that had been marinated for over 24 hours and was basted every 20 minutes with our special homemade marinate, and on top of that we had plenty of seafood that was grilled on the same spit. The spit was set up early in the morning and needed tender care from myself and my brother for the charcoal to stay nice and hot all day to achieve that crispy juicy meat every Greek prides themselves when making a gyro.

If you weren't hungry before reading this, you certainly are now! The dedication, sweat and love put into the spit is next level but its all worth it for the flavour! Greeks know how to cook their meat, oh boy my mouth is salivating at the thought!

2. How do you think you'd go in a 'shred off' against our resident 'King of Shred', Griff?

Proc: I mean he is the king of shred for a reason, no man can obtain that level of muscle while being that lean. But if the king is up for a shred off I would be honoured to compete with him, just would need minimum of 9 months prep else there wouldn’t be much of a contest.

Happy Birthday to the King of Shred by the way! Thankyou for respecting the shred grind and understanding that to achieve the ultimate shred you need to be committed long term......almost like a marriage. Not that I'm suggesting anyone is married to the shred.......all you need is some protein, iron and to yell out LIGHTWEIGHT BABY after every set and you're well on your way!

3. You're well known in the 3s for your banana bread, do you have any other specialties you whip up?

Proc: Honestly Im not much of a baking man, banana bread is what I mainly bake, but I can whip up a nice bolognaise, slow-cooked lamb, mini chicken Parmas and more. You name it and I can somewhat try and make it.

I like the diversity in the kitchen, we love a man who has many tricks up his sleeve! The reviews on your banana bread have been exceptional so you must be doing something right!

4. Are you watching anything good on TV or seen a good movie recently?

Proc: I am currently halfway through stranger things and about to watch the finale which I’m excited for, but other than that I’ve just been watching cricket, basketball and a lot of NFL.

Ahhh yes Stranger Things, I have finished it, I won't spoil anything but I think they wrapped it up nicely enough! Pretty hard to please everyone. And yes it certainly is the season for sport, so much happening and so much to come! If only I didn't have to work......

5. If I come over for dinner, what are you cooking for me?

Proc: If the great Jack Di Stefano were to come over for dinner I would probably have to cook him a feast consisting of yemista which are different vegetables stuffed with rice, mince meat and herbs, I would also whip up Greek salad, pasticho (Greek lasagna), lemon potatoes, and for desert baklava. Only the best for the great man.

Look out Gorm, I think Proc has the Greek feast covered! I am very familiar with all of these delicious options and I reckon this would rival my partners family's food too! Lemon potatoes YUM, pasticho YUM, baklava YUM, I'm gonna be rolling out of your house looking like Augustus Gloop! Love the heavily food themed Q&A too, bringing a bit of Mediterranean flavour to a typically Anglo-Saxon bread and butter sport!

Thanks to Proc for playing! Find out who is next on Q&A Corner in next weeks newsletter!
