Camberwell Magpies Cricket Club has a thriving Juniors section, with teams from U/10 through to U/18 in the 2019/20 season. The Club uniquely offers a pathway starting with the Junior Blasters program, through Master Blasters, Juniors and into the Seniors where we proudly compete as a Premier League Club. Many of the club’s players have graduated from our own Juniors program. This progression was strengthened in 2018/19 with the introduction of a Junior Development program, which is a pathway program into the Premier League taking in elite junior cricketers from our region, predominately between the ages of 13-16. This exemplifies the Club’s efforts to provide a pathway from the backyard to the Baggy Green.

The CMCC Juniors is a very successful Club, with 10 teams playing in any given season. This enables us to maximise the use of our facilities whilst ensuring that there is room for individual player growth throughout each season. We concentrate on the development of player skills, matched with a fair play principle and ensuring a lot of fun along the way for players and families. All Juniors teams have a Cricket Australia accredited coach who is also on our Seniors player roster.

As a pathway into the Juniors program, the Club also offers the Junior Blasters and Master Blasters program (programs supported by Cricket Australia). These programs are run by senior players from the Club and are supported by a dedicated group of parent volunteers. Last year over 100 boys and girls participated.
