We are greatly saddened to learn of the passing this week of Dick Menting, former Chairman and
later a Director of the Bendigo Community Bank who have supported our Club in so many ways over a long period of time.
Dick was a great friend of the CMCC arranging sponsorship, attending many matches at
McQueen Park as well as a number of social functions. He would appear at some Thursday night
dinners out of the blue with a bottle of good red in hand enjoying the camaraderie of the Club.
The Bendigo Community Bank provided the funds for our initial large electronic scoreboard shared with the OSFC and followed by its later refurbishment.
Dick was a former Councillor of Boroondara, much loved in the local area for his support of the wider community with its sporting clubs and cultural activities.
We will miss you Dick and convey our condolences to wife Margy and family at this sad time.
