PIETZ DEBUTS IN WASHOUT

ree

Last Sunday saw Jakey Pietz make his 1st grade debut in what became a washed out game against Prahran!

Jakey was joined by brother Daniel and his parents for the cap presentation! And in the few overs played, Jakey was able to snare 2 catches, making his mark already!

Well done Jakey!

PAST PLAYERS DAY WRAP

The weather didn't help but a big thankyou to everyone who made it down to our Past Players Day on Sunday!

We got to see a game and a bit of cricket but many more memories were shared!

Shoutout to Brett Watkins and his team who put the day together!

And we would love to see all Past Players back down at the Well throughout the season!

Welcome to Jack's Q&A Corner brought to you by Chargrill Charlie's! This week I sat down with a man who you're not quite sure where he's looking but when he mooses one for six, he'll let the umpire and opposition know that he got it, that's right, it's Lucas Jones!

1. How much do you love cricket?

Jonesy: I love cricket when I have a good day, hate it when I have a bad day. Pretty normal I’d like to think!

I think you're under selling your love Jonesy! You're a proper nuffie! But aren't we all, we're reading a Premier Cricket Clubs newsletter Q&A segment on a Friday night..........

2. Tell us what the best and worst part of working at KFC is?

Jonesy: The worst part of KFC is I come home smelling like chicken and oil, it’s not great. Early morning wake up isn’t the best either. The best part is the free chicken.

Can't complain about some free chicken. I've never seen Dave so excited than when he considered the prospect of getting free KFC off you........oooooo mountain dew. But I've definitely had that smell working at Grill'd back in the day, very gross!

3. Do you have a party trick that you pull out when required?

Jonesy: I can pop my right shoulder in and out of its socket whenever I want. Creeps people out when I do it.

That's pretty special, although agreed very creepy! You would be a good skeleton come halloween time with those bones Mr Jones!

4. What's your prediction for the Ashes?

Jonesy: 5-0 Aussies. McCullum sacked before Boxing Day.

Very bold and probably a bit of a biased call! I think England will get close in a lot of games but find a way to lose them.....a bit like Perth! I don't think Baz is going anywhere either, his positive style might be frustrating but they do play an exciting brand.....that loses a lot! Why are they so confusing to watch, you feel like they could be unbeatable and then 5 minutes later they're terrible. Nothing beats Ashes cricket though!

5. If I come over for dinner what are you cooking for me?

Jonesy: My favourite meal is spaghetti bolognese, so I’d give that a crack, with garlic bread as well.

Look out Jim! Jonesy is coming for your Friday night spag bol, add him to the list of competitors. I do feel a bit for Jim's guy though, it's probably so sick of eating spag bol EVERY WEEK!

Homemade garlic bread would be delicious too!

Thanks to Lucas for playing! Find out my next guest in next week's newsletter!

And if you have any nominations or questions you want asked to someone, feel free to send us an email at admin@camberwellmagpies.com.au

Welcome to Tone's Trivia, brought to you this week by Chargrill Charlies!

A massive thankyou to our sponsors Physioworks Health Group & Chargrill Charlie's for their support of the segment this year!

Last weeks answer: B) Hamish Burrill - that's right Buzz was stranded at the non strikers end thanks to a slashing cut shot on the second last ball of the innings by James Wiseman! Bad luck Buzz!

T20 W2 Question - Which former CMCC player was also 2nd XI Captain at Fitzroy-Doncaster last year?
