1ST XI DEBUT - PATRICK FORREST
Congratulations to Patrick Forrest who will make his 1st XI debut in week 2 of Round 4. With Jobe Fraser representing Victoria at U19 level and also having a bye for round 1 of APS cricket, we have been able to activate a replacement rule allowing us to bring up Pat from the 2s for week 2.
No formal presentation took place on Thursday night as we were supporting our sponsors the Hawthorn Hotel for dinner but we will be sure to provide photos from next weeks ceremony in the Round 5 newsletter! Go well in week 2 Foz, whether you're batting or bowling!

Congratulations to Jakey Pietz on his selection in the U17 Vic Metro squad for 2025/26!
A much deserved selection for Jakey who can do it with bat and ball! Jakey joined us this year after his brother Daniel played last year! Together the Pietz brothers form a dynamic duo of class and power that we hope to see for many years to come! It is fitting that both brothers will run out tomorrow in our 2nd XI!
Jakey is a crafty off spinner and batter who showed in his premier debut last round that he has the capability to contribute in all aspects of the game!
The Magpie family wish you all the best for the carnival in January!
Go Pies!
Physioworks Health Group Pathways Player Profile
As part of our ongoing partnership with Physioworks Health Group as the clubs major pathways sponsor, we thought what better way to show off some of our young talent playing in the senior XIs than with a good old fashioned player profile!
First up we've got a young lad who started at the club two seasons ago and has shown lots of promise. He's a great character around the club and his name is Finlay (Fin) McGrotty!

Stay tuned for more player profiles throughout the season!
Bendigo Bank Contribute to New Sight Screens

A big thankyou to Nick Coker and the team at Bendigo Community Bank Inner East for their ongoing support of our club. They were able to contribute $5,500 to assist the purchasing of our new sight screens at Camberwell Sports Ground.
We encourage our Magpies community to reach out to Nick and his team to discuss any banking opportunities you may have!

Welcome to Jack's Q&A Corner brought to you by Ark Capital Funds. This week I sat down with our latest Victorian Under 19 representative, he's a country boy doing it big at Caulfield Grammar and one of our up and coming superstars, that's right, it's Jobe "Hot Dog" Fraser!
1. Tell us a bit about your family back in Wangaratta and what do you miss most about home?
Jobe: So got mum and dad from Yarrawonga and my brother ( older ) down in Melbourne. Dads mostly up and always supporting and taking me everywhere likewise with mum and most I miss is getting back to peace and quiet on the lake.
There's something special about the peace of the country, the fresh air, it really does wonders! I think it's nice you have Yarrawonga as that place to escape to when you get a chance. Getting back into nature is something we city folk could all do a bit more often!
2. This is your 3rd selection in a Vic Underage team, what is the best part of the Vic experience?
Jobe: The best part of the Vic selection is probably the learning experiences I get from the trainings and games with exposure of what professional cricket is like and how they go about it.
Don't forget the sponsorships deals too, not everyone gets to rock full Kooka kit too! Back when I was going through the U17s (cause this segment is really about me), Kooka used to provide each batter from Vic with full kit for free, that was my dream, then when I got to the 19s, no more Kooka sponsorship.....just my luck! But I guess the experience is cool too.
3. You're nickname is Hot Dog, run us through how this came about.
Jobe: Hot dogs comes from back home, not my proudest but from me having no leg muscles and the looking like skinned hotdogs
Might have to start calling you the Don for Don Footy Franks! Although there are a few Don's around the club already......but one thing I can guarentee is you have those muscles, whether they're poppin like Bob's calves in ankle socks is another story!
4. Going into year 12, do you have any ideas on what you'd like to do after school?
Jobe: Still quite clueless after school but a few ideas are coming in mind don’t mind the life of Simmo just teaching a few periods a day and having the holiday breaks.
Yeh lucky Simmo only working half the year and getting paid like the rest of us, that is the life! First there's the potential nickname of The Don, wants to be a school teacher, you bat left handed, is anyone else seeing some similarities here between Jobe and Simon Hill??!! All you need to do is start smoking before you bat and you're there!
5. If I come over for dinner what would you cook for me?
Jobe: I wouldn’t cook, I would re heat or get mum to make a Parma with salad. Get some nice dressing and olive oil from the local shop in Yarrawonga.
Disappointing but expected. These private school punks never cook me anything half decent! Whatever happened to cooking class? I'm sure your mums parma is delicious though and well done for sourcing the dressing and oil locally!
Thanks to Hot Dog Jobe for playing! Find out who is next on Q&A Corner in next rounds newsletter! And if you have any nominations or questions you want asked to someone, feel free to send us an email at admin@camberwellmagpies.com.au

Welcome to Tone's Trivia, brought to you by Physioworks Health Group!
A massive thankyou to our sponsor Physioworks Health Group for their support of the segment this year! Don't forget, you're all playing for the infamous massage voucher that we all crave!
We will have a leaderboard update next week!
Last weeks answer: A) 2011 - that's right the footy club finally got their wish granted in 2010 with the final match played in 2011 before Richmond moved to Central Reserve.
Round 4 Question - How many test cricketers have also played for Kingston-Hawthorn Cricket Club?
