Welcome to Jack's Q&A Corner brought to you by Snack HQ! This week I sat down with Mr Fun Lovin, everyone's favourite big cuddly bear, he looks big and scary but he's actually a huge softy, that's right, it's Coby "Beef" Fitzsimmons!

1. You get a few variations on the 'Beef' nickname, beefo, beefy, beef ********, but the question is do you enjoy a piece of beef?

Beef: Yea look it’s not the greatest of nicknames but it’s certainly stuck. Absolutely I enjoy some beef, with a big juicy rump being my preferred style.

Yes it really did stick that nickname, you can thank Verve for that one all those years ago. Verve does have a habit of handing out unflattering nicknames, Beef, Stiffy......but a piece of rump sounds excellent, over a bbq, thanks for coming!

2. You have a slow run up like Warney, was he your inspiration growing up?

Beef: Yea he absolutely was, I spent a lot of my younger days watching the Warney Leg spin masterclass. Just wish I had the mits like him so I could actually spin one.

Oh please you can turn em! Although it seems as though anyone can turn it on the decks at Camberwell these days, even Vanders gets em going! He can barely open doors at the best of times!

3. Having joined the 'Party Planning Committee' this year at the club, can you get me hyped up for the ball! What can we expect?

Beef: This will be a ball like no other ball stiff! With a change in venue this year it’s set to be the biggest night in the cricket season calendar. Also as self appointed “head” of the party planning committee, I’m in the process of organising one final social event for the last round of the year. Bringing back the beloved around the world night but with a little beefy twist that should keep it fresh and exciting!

Oh boy I'm feeling so hyped right now! From all reports the Gardiner Hotel is nicer than watching the big hunk Capstick steaming in on a Saturday........so its very nice! A beefy twist you say! As long as its better than Greeney's game at the Halloween Party! Hi to Simon by the way, we hope the back is going well and see you soon!

4. Do you get home much to visit the family or are you a strict Melbournian these days?

Beef: All the family is in Melbourne so yea I dont really venture to gods country much anymore so yea trying to fit in with the city folk.

I think I've made this point before but why do we all call the country town we grew up or know of, 'God's Country'? If anything its the complete opposite! Unless we think God is bad? Really opening a can of worms here. I don't want to veer to far right or left here, I like to play a straight bat most of the time with a cheeky pull or cut every now and then!

5. If I come over for dinner, what are you cooking for me?

Beef: Look id have to stay true to my name and I’d probably cook you the best rump steak you’ve ever had with a lovely side of fluffy mash and nice veggies! Unfortunately in my share house we don’t have a dining table yet so we’d be enjoying it on a dedicated beer pong table sitting in camp chairs if that tickles your fancy! Can light a candle or two if you like as well to set the mood.

Oh boy, candles, ping pong and a big juicy rump steak, that's going straight in my basket! I'm a bit excited! Almost as excited as Dave around Mountain Dew! I imagine that inheriting a nickname like 'Beef' ensues magical meat cooking powers so I cannot wait to taste Beef's meat! I like the addition of some mash and veg (I hope its grilled on the bbq too), we are all about balance here at Q&A Corner!

Thankyou to Beef for playing! Find out who's next on Q&A Corner in the final regular season newsletter!

And if you have any nominations or questions you want asked to someone, feel free to send us an email at admin@camberwellmagpies.com.au

Last weeks answer: C) $6.20 - that's right parking prices just keep going up up up! Good thing we are back at the home of cricket Watson Park this year to avoid more fees on a Saturday!

Round 16 Question - How many wickets did Arjun Nair take against Carlton for the entirety of last season?
