A big CMCC welcome to our players, partners and sponsors, members and supporters as we prepare to fire the first shot in the 2020/21 season.
Cricket Victoria have advised that all being well the season will kick off on 21 November when we play St Kilda away. There will be 17 one day matches (all Saturdays) and then finals.
We welcome our new Head Coach, Ian Stanger, to the Club and look forward to his experience and guidance bringing development and success throughout our whole club.
Not only do we have to cope with COVID-19 and its very stringent safety conditions, but we also have the added complication of not having the use of our Main Pavilion until probably February and the small Ratepayers Pavilion until the New Year. In the meantime, we will be using portables supplied by Council.
You will be aware that McQueen Financial Group have agreed to be our Principal and Naming Rights Partner for the next three years and we are now seeking organisations at lesser levels to complete our suite of partners. Mark Dwyer or I would love to discuss a position with any prospective partner who would like to join with our club where we have plenty to offer, including a significant data base and social media presence.
Our membership drive is going well towards our target of 80 – 100 Members and we hope to see a number renewing acquaintances with team mates of old during the season.
