A big Magpie congratulations to our very own spin coach, Paul "Jacko" Jackson on his recent achievement of Life Membership of Cricket Victoria, presented at their AGM last week.
Paul has been a life long servant of cricket in Victoria, having represented the state for 6 seasons in the late 80s and early 90s, as shown in the fantastic player card from 1990-91, before moving to Queensland where he became the first player to win the Sheffield Shield for 2 states. Post playing career, Jacko served on the Board of Cricket Victoria for 13 years (2007-2020) where he held the title of Deputy Chairman and also helped manage the creation of the Melbourne Renegades and the Junction Oval re-development.
Paul's dedication to cricket is a testament to his selfless character and passion for making those around him better.
We love having you around the club Jacko and the game is so much better for having you a part of it.
We can't wait to watch our spin cartel continue flourishing under your command and we are very proud of your achievements thus far!
