Camberwell Magpies are pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Coddington as our Head Coach of the Pathways programs for the next two seasons. Ben will lead our Dowling Shield Squad and team as well as our U/18's program. Ben will be supported by Ben Ryan who returns for another season as Assistant Coach.
A former Northamptonshire 2nd XI player, Ben also represented Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire in National Counties Cricket. Most recently, he was part of a successful period at Wimbledon Cricket Club, in which they won the ECB Surrey Premier Division (2022) and National T20 Cup (2023). Alongside playing, Ben spent three years coaching in Wimbledon’s junior section, culminating in a leadership role for the 2024 season as their Head of Curriculum, responsible for session planning and content for its program of over 750+ junior members.
Ben has also worked with Cricket Wellington, supporting their Provincial Men’s A and Pathway squads. As a player, Ben has excelled overseas—he was the leading run-scorer in Wellington Premier Cricket (864 runs at 57) in 2023/24 and scored two centuries in five games in the VSDCA in 2022.
With his strong track record in player development, we welcome Ben to CMCC and wish him well for the 2025/26 season and beyond.
